This episode is the third and final in a little mini-series called BYOB Reads Childhood Favourites, where the BYOB ladies read, you guessed it, a book they loved when they were kids! Each episode will focus on one of the ladies' beloved books of yore. Joining in on the fun is special guest Tilly.
Last but not least, in this episode, the ladies meet up to discuss one of Tilly's favourite childhood reads, Wild Magic by Tamora Pierce! The first in The Immortals series, and only one part of Pierce's larger Tortall universe, this book follows Daine, a girl with a knack for horses. It soon becomes pretty evident that Daine's talent is more than that, it's pure magic- wild magic. Horses and other animals not only obey, but listen to her words. Although Daine has this special connection with the natural world around her, she will have to learn to trust the humans around her before she can fully understand her past and her powers.
